In order to make a change why must drastic measures be taken?

People do not pay attention to things if they do not stand out, how is a movement supposed to make a change if no one is paying attention.  In order for a movement to be effective it needs attention. Attention gives many movements or revolutionary ideas a platform to express their points and a chance to show everyone what they are taking a stand for. Sometimes it can be hard to catch local attention without causing a scene never mind national attention. In order to make a change there needs to be a lot of people involved and it can be hard for a group to be known well when playing it safe. This idea that to be heard relatively quickly a group has to be bold, leads to many controversial tactics. Protesters and revolutionaries are known to take drastic measures. These measures are viewed in many different ways some may say these as offensive and disrespectful, some people might think it is not enough. For change to be done people need to make a big deal about the point they are making or the movement will go no where. Change thrives on attention and controversy, that is how many changes have been successful through out the nation.
